I made a research trip to Waterstones Bookstore with some of my group members – Lily, Summer and Yinan!

We ended up spending our time at the children’s section to derive inspiration on how to present the physical copy of our Manifesto.
We saw various styles of books, took note on presentations and the age groups of children they targeted.
‘Although most of the headlines capture the intergroup struggles of adults, (Racial and Ethnic) prejudice is expressed among children as early as 4 years of age (e.g., Aboud, 1988; Bar-Tal, 1996)’
Todd D. Nelson, Handbook of Prejudice, Stereotyping, and Discrimination (2009)
Thus, in order to display our manifesto on racism in an interactive way we wanted to see what kind of books attracted the young minds.
We believe education is a key step towards more tolerant and multicultural world but we have to start young.
