During the project Artefacts, we learnt that objects have a lot of qualities – physical, spatial, temporal etc. In my following project, Investigation, I looked at the memorials left behind by visitors for the women and children buried in a mass grave with no identities. One such memorial was an angel doll. With permission from the cemetery officials, I made prints of the angel which made it seem as if she was hovering above the ground. While making this, dust and other particles from the graveyard stuck onto the paint carrying forward the materiality of the object onto the paper.
