Here are some videos of me trying to make frottages and charcoal sketches in the Park Street Cemetery. The cemeteries in Kolkata are much different to those of London. There are more intaglio gravestones rather than relief, making it difficult to create rubbings. Secondly, there are a lot of mausoleums in Park Street compared to Brompton or High Gate. The architectures in this graveyard has seen nature taking over some of its graves but it was still well kept, like Highgate. But within all differences and similarities, time stood still in whichever graveyard I visited.
